Project management training has been identified as one of the mandatory trainings based on the training need analysis for the Gewog Administrative Officers (GAOs). Therefore, it was included in their Competency Based Framework (CBF).
This training course is aimed at offering complete guidance to the essential knowledge, skills and competencies required in managing projects holistically. This includes making use of best practices of project management processes, tools and techniques as well as leading the people involved in and impacted by projects. Eventually, it is expected to ensure that projects are implemented efficiently as possible and meet the requirements and expectations of stakeholders.
The first cohort of the training was conducted for 85 GAOs from across the Dzongkhags from 30th May to 3rd June, 2022. It will be provided to all the GAOs in batches. The program is being executed with fund support from Government of India (GoI) through Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC).
The opening for the training was graced by His Excellency, the Home and Cultural Affairs Minister, Lyonpo Ugyen Dorji.
