The 10th Annual Hindu Dharma Samudaya of Bhutan’s (HDSB) Pundits’ Conference was inaugurated by Hon’ble Nangsid Lyonpo on 4th May, 2019 in Thimphu at the NRDCL Conference Hall.

The conference will explore ways to make priests’ roles more effective in meeting the ever-changing needs of Bhutanese Hindus. The objective of the conference is sustainability and advancement of Santana Hindu Dharma by making the Hindu modes of worship meaningful and relevant for younger generation.

A daylong conference intends to meet the following objectives:

  1. To promote the sustainability and advancement of Sanatana Dharma by making Hindu mode of worship meaningful and relevant for the younger generation;
  2. To sensitize the participants with the developments at HDSB, its roles, responsibilities and mandates.
  3. Discuss and find means to address rigidity of Hindu culture and simplify to fit in the present situation.
  4. Create awareness on the numerous roles that the priests should carry out.

Hon’ble Nangsid Lyonpo offered Tashi Khadar to the new Thrizin of the Hindu Dharma.
