Notification
This is to notify the general public that as per Immigration Rules and Regulations, 2015:
- All immigration permits/cards/e-visa clearances are valid for entry and exit purposes, only within the specified validity period. Therefore, all are requested to check the permit/card/e-visa clearance validity and comply with the required entry and exit formalities.
- All foreigners must enter and exit the kingdom through designated port of entry and exit. Further, agencies/individuals employing or inviting foreigners must ensure that the foreigner exits the country and their records are updated in the immigration system at every exit point.
- All foreigners availing domestic flight services should obtain route permits from the Department of Immigration.
- All foreigners intending to visit Bhutan are required to carry valid passports with a validity of a minimum of six months. For Indian nationals, they are required to carry either valid passports or Voter Identity Cards issued by the Election Commission of India. Only original passports and voter cards will be accepted. For children under eighteen years of age, original Birth Certificate will be accepted for entry and exit purposes provided he or she is accompanied by either of the parents.
